Last updated: September 2026. These terms govern your use of the GiftPraise service. By creating or opening a GiftPraise, you agree to them.
1. The service
GiftPraise is a service operated by GiftPraise Ltd, registered in England & Wales under company number 17247995, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. It provides an online tool that lets you record a video, voice note or written message, choose a digital gift card to go with it, and have the two delivered together to one or more recipients. Delivery is electronic: each recipient receives their own private link by email and, where you provide a mobile number, by SMS.
2. Your responsibilities
- You must be 18 or over to create a GiftPraise.
- You're responsible for the content you record and send, and for any content featuring other people.
- You're responsible for the recipient details you give us, and you confirm you have a reasonable basis for contacting those people at the email address and mobile number you provide.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider. By paying, you authorise the total shown at checkout, which covers the GiftPraise fee and the face value of any digital gift cards you have chosen. Gift cards are issued by third-party brands and are subject to those brands' own terms and expiry rules.

5. Prohibited use
You agree not to use GiftPraise to:
- upload unlawful, harassing, hateful or infringing content;
- impersonate someone else, or send under false pretences;
- attempt to circumvent our fees or payment provider;
- send unsolicited marketing or spam.
6. Reporting content, and takedown
Anyone can report a GiftPraise at giftpraise.com/report. You do not need an account and you do not need to be the person it was sent to, because the people best placed to report unlawful content are often neither.
We aim to review every report within one working day, and sooner where a report says a child is involved. Where content breaks these terms we remove it, which stops every recipient link for that GiftPraise working immediately, and we may suspend the account that sent it. Where content appears to be unlawful we preserve it and the associated account records and report it to the relevant authority rather than deleting it. We may remove content and suspend accounts without notice where we believe someone is at risk.
7. Cancellations
Moving a GiftPraise to a different time is something you can do yourself, using the link in your order confirmation or on your account page: up to 10 minutes before a scheduled one is due, or for about 5 minutes after paying for one set to send straight away. See Delivery & Fulfilment. Stopping one altogether is different: email hello@giftpraise.com and we will stop a scheduled GiftPraise being delivered, at any point before it goes out. There is no self-service cancel button, so please contact us rather than waiting. Be aware of what this does and does not undo. Your gift card is ordered from the issuer at the moment you pay, not at the moment the GiftPraise is delivered, so by the time you cancel it has almost always been issued already. An issued gift card cannot be recalled or refunded, and stopping delivery does not change that. What cancelling does is prevent the message and the link reaching the recipient. Where a card has genuinely not yet been issued, we refund it in full. Our Refund Policy sets out the rest, and none of this affects your statutory rights. Once a GiftPraise has been delivered, the content cannot be unsent.
8. Drafts and storage
To keep storage costs sustainable each account is limited to one in-progress draft at a time (a draft is any GiftPraise you've started but not yet paid for). When you start a new GiftPraise, any existing draft - including any recording or media attached to it - is automatically and permanently deleted. GiftPraises you've already paid for are unaffected.
9. Liability
We provide the service "as is" and do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK consumer law. To the fullest extent permitted, our liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the previous twelve months.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll always show the date they were last changed at the top of this page.
